The Company traces its roots to December 1 1975 when José A. Alvarez CPA started his own CPA practice. The firm went through various mergers, acquisitions and changes throughout the years. At one point Mr. Alvarez was the President with 4 branches and over 30 employees.

The current corporation was established on June 1 1990 and practiced public accounting until 1996. From January 1996 thru December 2005 the Company and/or Mr. Alvarez performed consultations related to mergers and acquisitions, raising capital, interim CFO services, financial and entrepreneurial business advice as well as holding various Executive positions. Prepared SEC financial statements as a CFO, and worked with law firms on various area’s of business, transactions, and litigation. Helped manage and operate companies with various subsidiaries and branches and up to over 100 employees throughout the United States. It also provided public accounting services to a CPA firm.

For over 20 years as Managing Director of a CPA firm, Mr. Alvarez’s firms performed audits for various industries, non-profits and government agencies. It also performed review and compilation of financial statements as well as record-keeping and payroll services. Prepared all types of income tax returns for businesses, individuals and fiduciaries. This in addition to consulting and advising business in planning, financial and operational matters,

On December 1 2005, the firm again started to provide public accounting services as well as providing consultations and entrepreneurial business advice.

Alvarez Company P.A. CPA Firm uses Quickbooks and is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor.

The Company supports the community and for over 20 years has sponsored the Alvarez Award for the Hillsborough County Outstanding Male and Female High School Soccer Players of the Year.
